Is E.V.I.L. actually evil?
Only in name. E.V.I.L. stands for Every Venue Is Learning. We build websites and a rewards program that make local businesses (and their customers) a little smarter. Evil name, good intentions.
What does "48 hours" mean exactly?
You get a private preview of your first draft within 48 hours of us receiving both your payment and your completed intake form. Bigger or custom projects may take longer, and we'll tell you up front, before you pay.
What's the catch with the free founding website?
No hidden catch, just the visible one: display the E.V.I.L. QR at your counter for 6 months, offer a small perk on scans, share basic results for a case study, and pay $29/month for hosting and your dashboard. If the QR comes down early, it becomes a one-time $300 Starter purchase. Only 10 spots.
What are Honeybuns?
Honeybuns are reward points customers earn by scanning your QR and taking part (a poll, a vote, an event signup). They spend them on short, guided AI lessons. You choose any extra perk, like 10% off a drink. They're named after our Chief Evil Officer, a very good dog.
What customer data do you collect?
As little as possible. Customers sign up with a name and email. Sharing their usual order is optional. Owners see first names and last initials, not full profiles. We never sell personal data. See our privacy policy.
Do I need a POS system, an app, or new hardware?
No. A printed QR code at the counter and a phone or laptop to check your dashboard. Customers don't need to download an app either.
Is the website written by AI?
AI helps us draft quickly, then a human reviews every page. You approve everything before it goes live, and nothing is published without your OK.
Do I own my website?
Yes. Once a package is paid, the site and your content are yours, and you can take the files anywhere. Founding venues keep their site too, either on the $29/month plan or by taking the files after the 6 months.
What about hosting and a domain name?
We set up hosting for you. If you want your own address (like yourcafe.com), you buy it from a registrar, usually about $10–20 a year, and we connect it for you.
What's your refund policy?
Full refund any time before we start work. After you receive your first draft, you can cancel for a 50% refund. Once you approve the final site, the sale is final.
